Club Broadbeach and the Broadbeach Bulls are thrilled to announce that world renowned lawn bowls champion Ellen Falkner MBE has officially joined the Broadbeach Bulls family.
With an incredible career spanning international competition, Ellen brings a wealth of experience, success, and passion for lawn bowls to the club. Her remarkable career includes:
• Three Commonwealth Games gold medals
• Six World titles (across indoor and outdoor)
• Three Atlantic Championship gold medals
• Eight British Isles Championship titles (across indoor and outdoor)
• Over 20 National titles (across indoor and outdoor)
Among her many achievements, a special highlight was winning both the British Isles Triples and the National Triples alongside her mother and grandmother. In recognition of her outstanding contribution to lawn bowls, Ellen was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for her services to the game, and one of the playing rinks at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games has been named in her honour.
Beyond her success on the greens, Ellen is passionate about growing the sport and supporting the bowls community. She is the General Manager, Workforce Development at Bowls Australia, where she leads initiatives focused on workforce development, education and training across the sport.
Ellen said: “A club isn’t just where you play. It’s where every member plays their part in a bigger story. I’m excited to be joining the Broadbeach Bulls. New club. New chapter. Same passion for the game”.
