Meet Leo, our Sous Chef at Club Broadbeach! Leo has been part of the team since January 2025, bringing his love of Asian-inspired food, rock ’n’ roll and surfing to the club. What’s your role at the club?
I’m the Sous Chef.
How long have you been part of the Club Broadbeach team?
I started back in January 2025.
What’s your favourite part of working here?
It’s a great local community club. It’s close to the beach and my house haha!

Food & Favourites
If you could only eat one meal from the club menu forever, what would it be?
I’m the kind of chef that loves Asian inspired food… so something like a stir fry or a good curry.
Sweet or savoury — which one wins every time?
Savoury for sure!
Go to coffee order?
I’m a coffee lover… a tahini latte, it is my specialty
Movie Buff
Favourite movie of all time?
Constantine, 2005 – a classic!
What’s your favourite music to listen to on shift?
I’m a rock n’ roll person, so bands like, AC/DC, Metallica, Guns N’ Roses always brings the vibe up!
Off the Clock
Favourite way to spend a day off on the Gold Coast?
Always with my kid surfing, on a push bike or skating at Pizzey Park.
Hinterland or beach?
Beach for sure… Surfing for life!
