A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL OUR VOLUNTEERS
A sincere thank you to all of the volunteers who helped Broadbeach get through a mountain of work during the Australian Open. Our Markers officiated over 500 singles games across 8 days, while our Umpires kept all four greens running every day and provided additional coverage for the TV games. Other volunteer staff worked tirelessly on the sales desk, helping sell our new delivery of club supporter shirts, while a strong turnout of volunteers on Sunday provided great support throughout the multi-disability games. Everyone’s contribution was truly inspirational.
As a way of thanking these wonderful people, Club Broadbeach will be holding a free bowls event with great prize money, followed by a delicious BBQ. Game starts at 9.30am, so get your names in. It’s open to all volunteers, so be sure to wear your AO Volunteer Shirt on the day.
